Seeing a play at the Leon County Civic Center

Posted by sangris on 08.02.2011 at 15:31
I'm going to check out one of the plays at the Civic Center and have never been. If I buy the cheap tickets am I going to be stuck in the back and not be able to see anything? Just looking to hear from someone who has been to give me an idea of what kind of tickets I need to get for a decent seat and a reasonable price.

No one reads FSU_Noles anymore, but whatever.

For sale here is a Fender M 80 solid state guitar amplifier. It's the nice gray carpeted version with all the original red knobs. The numbers on the back for the electrically inclined: 120 v / ~60 hz / 300 watts.

In addition to looking hot and being fuzzy, this amp has a lot of great features:Collapse )

I wonder if the spammer knows that no one reads Fsu_noles anymore..

Free Amazon Prime for students

Posted by theonlytime on 09.08.2010 at 04:18
Amazon is currently giving free 1 year memberships to Amazon Prime (free 2 day shipping, $3.99 overnight shipping) to current students with a .edu email address: http://www.amazon.com/gp/student/signup/info I'm not sure how long they're offering this (it doesn't say on the site).

Just thought i'd give fellow students the heads up on this in case you haven't heard about it yet. This is going to save me a ton on shipping textbooks this year!

not totally spam...

Hey, my roomie is selling her awesome sofa chair (or chaise for you fancy types). I like to call it the vortex of comfort. I wish I had space in my new apt for it, cuz I'd buy it off her. But maybe one of you could use some nice furniture...

Hope everyone is having a good summer, but also not spontaneously combusting from the heat.

Dear loyal Livejournal users of Tallahassee,

I am trying to plan something for my 22nd birthday (next saturday) in Tallahassee that isn't your usual night at Bull's. I have to option of having a house party but it seems like less of a pain in the ass to just go out somewhere new. Here is where you come in: what's a good unexpected place for a birthday celebration that is relatively low key?

Yes I checked the memories and did a little google research, please do not publicly flame me.

I'm trying to decide between Carolina Square (off Dewey and Virginia St) and Colony Club/High Point. I'm most suspicious of High Point since that's in a fairly shit area of town, does anyone here live at either of these places? What do you think?

Looking for a place in town that has good steak. Trying to avoid chain places, but as long as it's good I'd be down. Suggest away, please!

A Man who coached against Bobby Bowden was asked a simple question; Just how good is the legendary FSU coach?
"The best way to answer that is with a story not even Bobby knows about," says the former college coach, now in the NFL. "Our team cheted against FSU, and we still couldn't beat him. We cheated badly, and that bastard still won."
"Bobby's team was coming in to play us," continued the coach, who asked not to be identified, referring to a time period within the past several decades, "and we were scared to death of Florida State. They were killing teams. They were winning by huge margins and running all kinds of trick plays. They were very intimidating."

"So we did some things I regret to tis day. One thing we did was send someone to go spy on his practices. We saw a lot of their plays and what they were planning to do. Mainly we saw some of their trick plays they were practicing. We got tons of information."

"Then we put microphones in the visitors' locker room of our stadium. We heard just about everything before the game and halftime [that] Florida State was planning. At halftime we listened in to what Bobby told the team. We knew some of the plays they were going to run. Bobby and his assistants were talking about some defensive stuff too. We stole a bunch of stuff."

"I would guess we knew probably 30 or 40 percent of what they were going to do based on cheating like that. It might have been more. But you know what? We still lost. We wired Bobby's locker room and still lost."

"So how good a coach is Bowden? We had some pretty good players on our team when we faced him. Our coaches were cut throat fuckers with no conscience, but we were good. We spied on his practices. We wired his locker like we were the damn CIA. We did all that, and he still beat us. I thought after that, 'This is the greatest coach I have ever seen.' Nothing has happened since then to change my mind. No one was better than Bobby, and no one ever will be. That's just my opinion as someone who has been in football for a long time and in college coached against some of the great coaches. People don't give Bobby enough credit for being very smart and a great tactical coach."

"You know I always thought Bobby knew what we did. He probably laughed at us. He probably said to himself, 'Nice dadgum try.'"
